The aim of this group is to sew on your own projects - if you need help, there will always be someone there. We will meet on the second Saturday of the month. The hours are from 10 am to 4 pm. There is a small charge to cover the costs of electricity etc.
Stitchshed Studio Quilters (Sew your own projects)
I am aiming to start a day and an evening group once a month in September - these will be small groups as I can take no more than five people in my Stitchshed Studio here in Burwell. The cost per session will be £2.00 per person to cover costs.
Stitchshed Classes
- Learn Patchwork and Quilting - beginners - £60 for the course
Tuesday mornings 9.30 am to 11.30 am or Tuesday evenings 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm for 10 weeks starting on 22 September 2015
In this class you will learn about material, thread, cutting instructions, how to use a rotary cutter and mat and constructions of blocks to make a sampler quilt. (materials not provided) - Learn to Sew - suitable for beginners - £60 for the course
Tuesday evenings 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm for 10 weeks starting on 22.September 2015
In this class you will learn how to use your sewing machine, how to layout your pattern and cut out and construct your choice of easy patterns i.e simple skirt or pyjama bottoms (materials not provided) - Learn how to use your sewing machine - £25 for the session
Saturday 19 September 2015 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
In this class you will learn how to thread your machine, how to wind your bobbin, set your tension, change your stitch length, test out your stitches. - Make Quilted Cushion Covers - suitable for beginners £35 for the sessionSaturday 26 September 2015 -10.00 am to 4.00 pm (Bring your own lunch)
In this class you will learn how to design your cushion cover, quilt it and construct an envelope back to enable you to insert your cushion pad (materials not provided)
Basic sewing kit: thread, needles, pins, fabric, scissors, pad, pen, tape measure etc
Please bring your sewing machine with the instruction book spare machine needles
Tea/Coffee will be provided
