Taking stock

Well, a lot has happened this year so we have had a radical rethink of our lives and decided to move, downsize in fact. Therefore, the next couple of months are going to be spent sorting, weeding out and packing ready for the move. Only 4 miles down the road, but exciting still the same. It means leaving my beautiful shed, but what the heck, we'll build another one! Quilting will have to be put on a back burner for a while although I do have some UFO's to finish which will keep me going!

On starting to sort my quilting shed, I have found so much useless stuff that I am sure it would fill a mini-skip! However, it has given me the opportunity to sort the old fabric stash .....sshh don't tell hubby!

Mum's Christmas Quilt

I made this quilt for my mum for Christmas. I used 6 fat quarters and about 1.5 m of background fabric. It was easy to piece and once layered up, I hand quilted it.

Mum's Christmas Quilt

I made this quilt for my mum for christmas. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I finished it just in time for christmas along with my son-in-law's quilt. As with all my quilts the backing is american muslin and the wadding is an 80/20 cotton wadding. I have quilted in gutteman cream hand quilting thread. Hope you like it as much as my tuesday class did as they have been busy making and quilting.
