Mum's Christmas Quilt

I made this quilt for my mum for christmas. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I finished it just in time for christmas along with my son-in-law's quilt. As with all my quilts the backing is american muslin and the wadding is an 80/20 cotton wadding. I have quilted in gutteman cream hand quilting thread. Hope you like it as much as my tuesday class did as they have been busy making and quilting.

Mark's Quilt

Clare's Quilt

 



This is Clare's birthday quilt of about two years ago. It was constructed as a medallion quilt as I started with a beautiful piece of fabric I did not want to cut! I used what I had to construct the borders. I quilted in it in a foil varigated thread.

Here are some small pinwheels that I have started to put together from scrap fabrics. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but, who knows it may grow and grow.

June Update

Here we are in June already and it's nearly the end! We've been on a fanatastic holiday to America and now it's back to reality! I have started on two projects since returning home, the first one being to use up all my scraps in a log cabin quilt using stitch and flip method on the machine. The second is make a Dear Jane quilt by hand. Watch this space for some updates.
